Mr. & Mrs. Budd's kitchen with oak roller shutter. This hindes all of the tea and coffee making equipment. Just one example of Beau-Ports neat, storage solutions.

It is wonderful to have a newly fitted contemporary or traditional style kitchen with lots of beautiful, clean, clear worktops. But it is sometimes difficult to maintain completely clear worktops, in reality, we all need to have various appliances such as toasters, tea and coffee making items and sometimes small liquidisers for those all so healthy smoothies that are growing in popularity.

So how can you keep your work surfaces clear? Beau-Port has the ideal solution which our designers have incorporated into a number of projects – a handy storage solution for all of that clutter, carefully concealed behind a stylish roll top shutter unit.

One of our clients, Pauline Budd considers this particular feature one of her favourite sections of her Beau-Port Shaker style kitchen – the discreet drinks area, complete with mini-sink housing a Quooker boiling tap, illuminated by stylish beaded lighting and with a wooden roll top shutter to hide it all away when not in use. “I really love the drinks area it is magic, so easy to make drinks with hot water on tap all the time, no need for a kettle cluttering up the surfaces and it has been very useful, particularly when making hot drinks for large numbers.”

This clutter clear solution has also been incorporated into a number of contemporary style kitchens that our designers have created.

The white units of one of our ultra-modern kitchen designs are complemented by the grey wild oak panels that form the counter top shutter unit that hides the kettle and hot drink making things neatly away out of sight when not required. There are additional floating shelves next to this unit for recipe books and further homely touches, with more grey wild oak used to frame the larder unit and American style fridge freezer next to a tall wine rack. This subtle wood effect panelling also frames the white high gloss media centre next to the kitchen area – another ingenious storage solution from our designers, helping to create the perfect clutter-free kitchen, living dining space.

Another contemporary kitchen for a boutique B & B client also incorporates this clever roll down counter top shutter unit, that hides the toasters neatly away out of sight when not required.

The Quooker boiling tap is also useful for our B & B client and he commented:
“I love the instant boiling water tap, which is a so helpful when I suddenly have 12 people coming down to breakfast at the same time and all wanting hot drinks and it saves a lot of time.” Boiling taps are another great clutter clearing solution.
