Has your kitchen recovered from the festive season? It is a time when friends and families gather in the hub of the home, with more people looking to combine their kitchen, dining and relaxing spaces into one open-plan living space for these special gatherings.

In our 17th year, we have exciting plans for new displays in our 2000 sq ft showroom at Bentworth, that will incorporate all the very latest and best new kitchen design ideas in both the furniture and the appliances. Our designers Mark and Jacob visited Rotpunkt Kitchens in Germany at the end of last year and they are incorporating many new and dynamic materials and designs into our contemporary style kitchens.

May 2017 will mark Beau-Port’s seventeenth year in business, with a long track record of satisfied customers who are enjoying our bespoke Shaker style, modern traditional and contemporary fitted kitchens or interiors projects such as media centres, bathroom furniture and our latest bedroom furniture designed and installed. We now have a bedroom furniture display in our showrooms for you to come and see.

Our designers constantly monitor kitchen design and interiors trends and develop new ways of delivering exactly what our customers want. One of the many designs that Jacob worked in 2016 was on a standard size kitchen which had been extended out to include a dining area and further open plan into a conservatory, which had recently had a solid roof with skylights fitted for extra insulation.

Mr & Mrs Gallagher’s Rotpunkt handleless kitchen with Zerox doors in Weiss and SY VER Bardolia. Seen here is the rear of the peninsula. The kitchen was designed with opposites in mind, Bardolia and a light colour on the peninsula. Then the theme switched for the rest of the furniture, light colour on the base and Bardolia on the worktops.

The kitchen area was not quite big enough to accommodate a kitchen island of sufficient size, so Jacob suggested a peninsular with a practical and ultra modern and shallow depth rectangular hob, which gave more depth to the breakfast bar area on the other side of the peninsular. Our clients love the space and are spending much more time sitting at the breakfast bar to dine, chat to the cook or just to chill out together.

The client also loves the Falmec Twister extractor with E.Ion air purifier, with its elegant Italian design it has been mistaken for a beautiful contemporary light fitting, complementing the style and colours of the kitchen furniture that Jacob has used in the kitchen design. The opening up of this kitchen into a more open plan space was also project managed by Jacob at Beau-Port including building works, plumbing, plastering etc.

Both Mark and Jacob love a design challenge and come up with really creative solutions that work for our clients. They are both looking forward to creating more imaginative and practical kitchens and interiors in the coming year.
